I'm jealous! I've shot 6 inch 1911s and just had to have one. I think a 7 inch 1911 would be awesome. I can't wait to finish the 6 inch I. Putting together.
There used to be a good 1911 smith on here, Ol Yeller, I think. Another was a local dentist. He was very good. Don't know if he is still around as I haven't talked to him in years (and can't remember his name).
I almost guarantee ol yeller won't work on it. Too bad tho

really sure has ordered a bunch of parts
I have ordered and have most of the parts. I made an assumption it would go together like an AR. I did try and make sure it met the same standard as the frame and slide along with keeping similar companies for related parts such as JEM guns frame and beaver tail safety, Fusions slide/barrel/spring/guide rod/busing/rmr mount and several other slide parts assuming they should all fit/work. I did a lot of calling around and research trying to find a smith. I was able to talk with Cutting Edge firearms and may go with them.
Update Edit: Slide is here and parts at with the smith; now some more waiting; here is an updated picture.
