You and my wife should start some kind of club or something because she has to do the same exact things with me. I've lost so much of my hearing I've actually considered hearing aides until I saw the cost.
I've only realized how much recently but my left ear is really really bad and the right sure ain't good. Conversations with people are very frustrating. I have a nasty case of tinnitus plus the hearing loss.

As for loud mouthed people? I like them because I can hear what they are saying...

It would be a gigantic club. I tend to think that everyone who is married to someone who is or has been a shooter for any length of time deals with this. Workplace noise (like GC hanging out on the flight line with no hearing protection when he was younger because he was too cool for that! :rolleyes ) just adds to the trouble. I know when I worked at H&H and was shooting matches and practicing a lot, I had trouble with tinnitus and earaches. It seems to have resolved now that I can't shoot but still ... I'd give up a little hearing if I could run and gun with you guys like before! :(

It's people like you and BB that take all the fun out of trolling.

K, fine ... No more hugs ... :wink2: (Don't forget I'm still looking for 15-22 mags you slacker ... :D)

are you sure were not related?

Inorite? It's sad, really ... I wasn't that way before I had that bartending job ... Flat ruint me ... :D

Me too!

I went ahead, and bought the hearing aids. Good ones. They help, but no way will put your hearing anywhere near back to normal. Loud restaurants, when people are talking to me, its just nod the head and smile. When I get that "funny look" back, my wife usually intercedes, and helps me out a little. It sucks. At least the TV is at a level both of us can live with now.

I am right there with you as far as how u feel, BUT, don't forget if you do that, and the guy follows you outside, and for whatever reason you wind up having to shoot him, you are going to prison...Rules in the CCW class say you must do anything and everything to avoid confrontation and be ultra-passive if you are armed...because otherwise, you have provoked a guy knowing that he might act on it and you have then been irresponsible as a weapon holder. That is my understanding...you can't even give someone the bird in traffic if you have a gun with you because that can be used against you late if it is found out.

That is probably good advice IF you plan on brandishing. But having a CCW does not mean you have to just take ****. You can still confront someone and not draw. Do you have a wife or kids? Maybe not? If someone is cussing at or near them, are you just going to let it happen with the excuse "oh I'd better not say anything, I have a gun". If he follows you outside, man-up. Knock his ass down or take your beating. Hell give the gun to someone else first and just fight man to man.
