Which of Brogdon's positions do you find to be statist?

I had typed a nice long response, full of political philosophy but it seems the server puked it away before I could post it. I will suffice to say that Sen. Brogdon campaigned and legislated from a moral high horse that I found to be statist, especially as regards privacy issues. A lot of his positions align with my view but I cannot abide a politician that claims to respect the Constitution but does not understand the underlying political and economic philosophies. Further, he did not appear to have the intellectual horsepower to ever arrive at a point of understanding those philosophies.

Mary Fallin is definitely not my ideal candidate but she seems to get it and can get legislators to get on board with much of her program.

A "one issue" voter? Not usually, but when the issue so blatantly violates the COTUS, I become such a voter.
Abortion, gay rights, health care, none of those are black and white constitutional issues. They can be argued either way with merit.
The bailout? No constitutional basis whatsoever. None. Anyone that voted for it, including Fallin an Coburn, will never get my vote.
At what point do we start holding these people responsible? Fallin screwed up. Badly. We need to let her know so. Not by electing her to another office, but by letting her walk. Kick her out and let her know why.
I really don't care why she voted the way she did. She was wrong, and has no justification for doing so. It's time we stood up to the people that are destroying this country and tell them we're mad as hell and we're not going to take it any more!

Not that I disagree with you but if askins would have been in a position to vote on the bailout we all know she would have voted for it.

I refuse to vote for anyone that voted for the bailout/stimulus. As bad as Askins 'may' be I can not vote for Fallin.

What do you think Askins would have done, had the roles been reversed? She would have voted for that and a hell of a lot more Obamunist BS! Before you cut off your nose to spite your face, you should think about what you will get instead. Vote in Askins and you will NEVER see an Oklahoma Firearms Freedom Act!

For me, knowing that she would have is enough.

Me too. The time to show Fallin was in the primary elections. There is no way I will vote for a democrat to fill that spot. Sometimes you just have to go with the best you have even if its not great. If Fallin does not hold up her end then we need to take her out in the next primary.

I'm not voting for Askins. I'm voting against Fallin and I want her to know why. What Askins "would have done" is irrelevant.
Never is a big word. When you use it in this context it shows you're speaking from emotion and not reason. It kills your comments.

Well Bob, That's your opinion. But instead of looking at the big picture, you are taking your ball and going home. I culdn't and still can't stand McCain but I was NEVER going to vote for Hillary or Obonzo. Conservative minded, pro RTKBA people who vote for Dimosocialists should have to take poll tests. If by voting against Fallin, you check the box next to Askins then you ar part of the problem. If you don't like Fallin, your time to express that was in the Republican Primary. I voted for Brogdan, Fallin won. Now I support Fallin but I talk to her and she "gets it". Voting for Dimosocialists always gets you more of the same idiocy. Don't shoot yourself in the foot and wonder why you are limping...

I think you are also not speaking from reason. You aren't voting for Fallin because of her vote when we all know askins would have voted the same way. Reasoning tells me that shouldnt be a factor if their vote would have been the same.

I agree.
I don't want more of what we have had is the main reason I am leaning towards Fallin as being the lessor of the two evils.
