I really like the single player, but MP sucks!
Interesting points, thanks guys. I have Black Ops on preorder and i'll just hold off on MoH until its like $20. The only negative i heard that doesn't seem like a big deal is dying in like 2 hits. I play MW on hardcore almost exclusively so i'm used to dying in 2 hits and LIKE being able to kill in 2 hits.
I was playing Battlefield games long before CoD.Don't listen to all the negative comments.
The game is awesome if you're on a good team. It penalizes you for not working as a team and not taking advantage of the cover. Most of the negative comments I have heard come from COD players. MOH is not an arcade-type shooter like the COD series.
Um no. The playable area is no smaller than most BFBC2 maps,... which has bullet drop.As far as bullet drop, the maps are too small for there to be bullet drop.
There are 3 things I would like to see in MOH; medics, spawn selector, and prone. The game is just fine without those things, but I think it would have added a lot to it.
Tell that to my M60 and I that went 42/0 with a 1232 point game last night...It kind of stinks getting hit and no way to heal up, but that makes it more realistic compared to getting your face shot off and then healing up fully in a couple of seconds. It also forces you to learn basic team tactics. If you run in guns blazing like a noob, you'll get owned.
... you will fail, cause thats the nub team tactic. To win you need team actions. Te get team actions you need to kill.If you keep your head down, lay down cover fire, and support your team.........
You will run into a sniper every once in a while, but there just isn't enough room or time for there to be a lot of them. Pick up the rifleman or specops class and grab that objective or defend it.
I would recommend staying away from the team death match though and stick with capture the flag and plant & defend. If you want pure run and gun team deathmatch, go COD.
Whitey, do you play on PC?
Negative Ghostrider.
I play PS3, which could account for some differences in impressions. The PC games are probably a lot more hectic. With console, I swear to God I get into matches with half the team is sniping during sector control, combat mission or the one where you have to attack/defend the 2 objectives. That always equals fail since noone is taking/defending.
The size of the maps I directly equate to BC2. If you look at combat mission, its almost exactly like Rush Mode in BC2. The distance from the back of your "base" area to the objective is roughly the same as Rush Mode's deployable area to the A and B MCom Stations. In Sector Control, cant remember the map name, but its the one that has the cave that puts you out on a cliff, is another great sniping level (think its also a TDM map).
After playing last night and finally getting into the vibe of the game (utilizing the team actions; match ammo, flack jackets, UAV rather than the kill whore streaks: Mortar et al) I am starting to warm up to the MP a little more. Last night was also my first time to play sector control, which is, by far, my favorite mode right now.
I still want my bullet drop. For some reason, I dont do as well with "non-kentucky windage". In BC2, I am the headshot king on long distance and moving targets, not so much in MoH.
Rifleman class, once you get the LMG, you're a machine. I am not overexaggerating when I say I go full bore run and gun and literally mop up on a map (this doesnt happen every game, but it happens frequently enough to say its consistent). Only gripe I *had* was smoke grenades for rifleman, but I have sort of adapted to the use of them.
Spec Ops, just dont care for the class. Seems like a nub tube class. Still havent warmed up to it which is why I am levels higher on the other classes (still a lvl 1 Spec Ops )
