My interest remains the same from the first payment to the final payment.

That’s a very unusual loan. They’re normally front-loaded on the interest to make sure the lender gets his, with very little going to principal until you’re well into the loan term.

I always ask about special rates / offers.
The interest paid on a 7 or 13 month is usually higher than a 6 or 12. Lowers their risk considerably and pays you.

I picked up a 7 month 4.85% CD at Arvest, in April. Will see what the rollover rate is in November.
