I have this idea that I may want to go towards Thompson Center...I love the concept of being able to swap barrels and get a rifle or a muzzle loader or even a shotgun. I've been looking at their website but I'm not totally sure I understand the process. I think you buy the buttstock you like and then you can choose your favorite rifle barrel/caliber and the ML barrel of your choice which may or may not require the use of a different forend. But I don't get where the receiver comes into play, I didn't even see a receiver for sale. I don't understand if there's one receiver that works with both rifles, muzzle loaders and shotgun barrels or if each has to have it's own?

I may be wrong, but Thompson doesn't sell receivers/lowers.
They sell a gun, and you have the option to buy uppers to complement the gun you have.
Same with NEF, and H&R.
