having lived overseas during the 80's upto 1990, I can tell you the Irish were very serious about this issue. The battle has waged for 30 years or so. I have no opinion not being from there, but just wanted to point out that the area is no cake walk and being civilized and stuff, gun fire and explosions were common in the 80's. Far as IRA, I doubt it is gone, just works smarter than rash.

Yes they still exist. Problem is they will fire on anyone they fell opposes them. Even if they are their own countrymen.
