If someone owns a piece of land, do they own it all the way to the center of the earth?

Under the ad coleum theory of property ownership, the owner of a fee simple absolute would own the property to the core of the earth to outer space, or, more biblically: from heaven to hell.

In practice, airspace is generally considered to be public, as you generally can't stop aircraft from flying over your property unless you are the government or Walt Disney World.

It bugs me that credit card commercials show their cards being swiped right side up, which doesn't work considering the strip is at the top of the card.
