Go to the webcams and look around. I have a few buddies who called me and told me to go to the webcamsite...they were there and drinking and waving to me on the cam. The Spot and Capt. Jack's.
When you get home wash your vehicle, the saltwater is horrible on vehicles. Not that bad for a visit,but living there...it was fun to watch Walmart set up bicycles amd lawnmowers on the sidewalk in March to April, and by September you could tell which ones were placed outside and which ones were inside all season.

Yes! Eat at Willie G's some friends and I went to houston live stock show and rodeo one year. I made a big deal of going there to eat. Lived there 7 years as a kid my favorite place to eat. They all thought was well worth the drive.
When you get to Austin, take the Oltorf exit. La Reyna Bakery. Migas, pork chops, beer.
