Very VERY disappointed in Rep Roan. I used to work with him and wasn't aware he was a Rep for that area now... I've written a strongly worded email (still very polite, however) expressing my disappointment in his lack of faith in the good people of Oklahoma.

However, I've saved it to let my emotions settle before sending it... I'll review it and make any necessary changes, may post the text for review here.

Why not work at ellecting someone to replace Ms. Tibbs and anyother rep. that can't think straight?

I think she term limits out in 2012... correct me if I'm wrong.

In other words, she's "falling on the grenade" to keep this thing from going to the House floor. She has nothing to lose and no longer has any fear of backlash from the voters. She is in a powerful position as the chair of the committee and next to nothing can be done to force her to listen to the people.

did the article say that the bill would allow open carry in bars? or was I just not reading right?

Mr. Lerblance says it will, but the bill says otherwise.

In other words, Mr. Lerblance is uninformed and didn't read the bill, or he's just trying to get the public riled up. I assume the latter, but both are plausible.

It got my hopes up, because I personally believe that there should be no restrictions on where I can carry my firearm, but I'm fine with a restriction on carrying intoxicated.

the law should say that if you are going to carry while intoxicated, you need to be so thoroughly bombed that you lack even the physical capacity of handling your weapon :D It would make it that much easier for other *ahem* concerned citizens to relieve him of it. For the safety of society of course

So is it law now or does it need something from the House? I thought once bills passed the Senate, they were law. Maybe I'm mixed up, I thought they went through the house first and then the Senate.
