I believe 100% that protesters should get their message across. Violating my rights to free travel by blocking the path is violating my rights. I will and have fought for my rights in the past.
I see nothing wrong with the police in this situation busting down the protest that violated many other citizens rights.
I do have an issue of him coming out with pistol drawn. I didn't see the threat that would warrant drawing a firearm. Brute force? Hell yes. Drag them by their kinky hair off the road and clear it for law abiding citizens, cuff and stuff for violating the law.
It was a taser.

Lots to see here, the two people who had a big pipe over their hands so they wouldn’t be handcuffed just fall apart. The lady asking the camera person if they got that, no concern for their friends. Just amazing.

They knew what to expect, blocking the road, go to jail, I’m damned tired of the peaceful protest.

Jan 6 was a peaceful protest. We have to be consistent. Many improvements have come from “peaceful protests”.
We know Jan 6 was orchestrated and enhanced by Nancy Pelosi along with the alphabet agencies.
Remember Ray Epps? There are dozens of videos of what are now known as government agents inciting the uprising.
There are also videos of folks entering the door, escorted by Capitol Police on a guided tour where some fixed the ropes and helped pick up trash that are now facing prison terms.
There are hundreds of hours of video's the government has not released. They refuse FOIA requests repeatedly citing "national security", which we all should know is pelosi's bullshat. She was in charge of capitol security and repeatedly ignored requests for more security. She knew and accepted willingly what was coming.
A citizen was murdered by capitol police. People were put in solitary confinement for years without visitation or a constitutional right to a speedy trial and later convicted of minor crimes that resulted in an extraordinary effort by the government to put out a message that the people no longer matter.
The government is in charge, and you will not contest us.
News media put out reports complicit with the government that those at the capitol killed a capitol police officer which turned out to be false, another committed suicide which was again false reporting by the media, supported by the capitol police.
Trump called on the crowd to have a peaceful protest and march to the capitol to express their disfavor with the election. It's all on recorded video.
No different than the dimocrat marches that resulted in riots where nobody was arrested after attacking federal buildings in Oregon and Washington state?
Two tier justice system according to one's political party?
We need to get this fixed.

After my long diatribe, I do have to agree that improvements have come from peaceful protests. We got budlight almost wiped off the map, Target has seen a financial decline that has them considering shutting down stores because the loss of business that resulted because of their woke agenda that has doomed them for the near future. The shareholders are livid.
Disney is suffering because of their woke agenda which comes from low attendance because the public doesn't want to subject their children to what disney has become.
Yep, the power of the purse by the public can matter, but that all seems to come from the right?
The left prefers riots, looting, killing, and insurrection.
Do we need to change our tactics, because their methods seem to be working to get the minority more rights than the majority?
I honestly don't know what is needed to turn this BS around as a society. I just watch events and results.

Think about the long game.

Block a road on the way to a major festival.
Stop hundreds if not thousands of people.
Someone is likely to lose their cool.

There motive was not to protest,
They wanted someone to assault them so they could file a lawsuit.
Thats the point of the video work.

That's a good point, but with the police having immunity in most cases, not some, it was wise for the non-leo to let them take care of it.
Then again, they are a Sovereign Nation being tribal. They can enact and enforce tribal law. The Supreme Court has affirmed that.

Dennis is right. The concept of “peaceful protesting” is our primary tool in bringing about change. A quick look back into history shows that protesting has been in use for centuries. It is a visible view of the First Admendment. And, like all rights, it can, and has, been used correctly and sometimes incorrectly.

If we agree with their position, it’s a great thing, something to be applauded. But if we disagree, we tend to fall into the stance of “they deserve the fire hoses and dogs”.

Blocking a major highway may fall into that category of “too far”, but …
