And lots of stuff has been brought across or borders that should not have been here over the past few years. I have heard TB could be on the increase soon also. I had chicken pox early. I am thinking some of our "vaccines" may get revisited and possibly revised in the near future, think I will wait a little longer before getting the shingles shots.

Might be better to get what you can before we find out what's been turned loose on us.

No vaccine yet. But got a wicked case a year and five months ago. Still on a nerve blocker because the nerve damage just won’t lift. Feel like I have bugs crawling under the skin all around my ribcage. Gonna ask the doc about a vaccine next time I’m in.

Shingles can be so painful & dangerous. Usually open blisters with severe pain. I saw a patient once who had shingles on her face, eyes, throat & in her lungs. We had her on a vent for it.
When I saw the odds of getting shingles are 33%, I RAN to get the vaccine when I was age eligible.

My dad had a terrible case of shingles, I certainly wanted to avoid that. I was in my early 50's when the Zostavax became available and got it right away. Four years ago I also got the Shingrix vaccine. Sore arm, yes, just what you'd expect getting a steel needle stuck in a muscle.

And.... no shingles

I USED to think that a few of my coworkers were, well let’s say pusses, because they missed work due to shingles. I’d never been around it until my wife got shingles several years ago. It covered her breast, and above, below, and wrapped around rib cage to her back. Never seen anything so nasty, blisters and raw. But according to her the internal’s/nerves hurt so bad it made me hurt. The exterior lasted for close to 2 months, and internal pain close to 5-6. I then decided to get the 2 shots (Shingrix I THINK) my side affects were sore arm and punky for a day or 2, but after seeing what it did to my wife, it was well worth it. NOW my wife… she finally got the vaccine, but got so sick on the first shot she was hesitant, and blew off the second. I never knew shingles could be so debilitating = Wow… I’d post pics, but it doesn’t do her breast justice. 😳😉 I’d say get the vaccine after what my wife experienced with SHINGLES- NASTY STUFF.
