Not that we don't have mountain lions here, because I've seen one with my own two eyes, but it looks like a bobcat to me. Bobbed, thin tail as well as having that fluffier than usual fur dangling off its belly. A mountain lion's fur is pretty consistent in length around its entire body and its tail is long and very thick.

Still a neat sighting, though! As Harrah alumni (Class of 2000), go Panthers (ironically)!

thats the info i was looking for lol. my friend is swearing up and down so i knew if i posted on here someone would confirm or bust the lion out of it. Now i can tell him what he has on his hands out there.

thanks guys i was 50/50 on it because i could not see a clear long tail shot.

Apparently you missed the sarcasm. As with most other "mountain lion" sightings, this one is another case of mistaken identity, clearly. And even with pictures, you cannot convince some people they are wrong.

This! That's why when I hear all the lion stories I laugh.
