Looks like a mountain lion to me. Looks like the tail is curled towards the camera making it look shorter than it is.

Look a little closer. You can see the short bobbed tail, what you say is the rest of the tail curled towards the camera, is actually the rear leg of the cat lifted off the ground as it's walking.
