Just got back from my interview I responded. I like the top design you drew up, and I really like the third. I told you to pick either one you want to do cause I would be happy with either or. Left a note about payment as well will be a few hours till I get home.

That one your wife has is awesome! They were all cool, but the sideways shot of that one really amazed me!

Congrats on the baby, kid's are truly what make the world go round! (well, them and knives and guns LOL)

How much would a blade like she has cost? I'm kinda interested myself. Kind of like my sig says, a man can have enough, but never too many. That goes for knives too.

Nice work man.

Dave, Thank you very much. You are right, its all about the kids man. Thats how we grow as a nation. We just have to teach them right so they dont turn out like the asshats we see on the news:angry3: Its a shame how a lot of parents are raising there kids. But it is awesome to see the ones that raise them right! Thank you Dave.

I hear ya on the man toys. I sold all my toys to fund this new addiction of mine. Hope to bounce back from that within the next year or two. All I have left is my wifes 10/22 I bought her off a buddy of mine.....she wont let me sell it, so I guess it stays.....hahaha

Wew, on my wifes design. Its a more detailed piece. But since you guys show me so much love around here I will work a fair price with you on it. Let me kick it around a bit.

Send me an email to:
[email protected] or PM me here. If you want me to round the bone crusher, side stabber off let me know. I like the way it looks.....but I am sure it might dig into your side....or take out that funny bone one wrong move....haha Good thing with its size is you can strap it horizontal or vertical for carry. Thats why I love Tek-Loks!!!

Just let me know your thoughts buddy. It might be a couple weeks, but I will make it happen for you. I gotta get these guys squared up on the Entry Tool blade. I can work on yours in between though.

Thanks again for the support and letting me ramble on all the time guys/gals!

Let me know your thoughts when you get some time, Dave. I look forward to it!

Chris

Beautiful work Chris. I just wanted to add that if anyone wants to see how much work is involved in just fitting and shaping the handles, try one of the kits from Jantz supply in Davis,OK. Check out their website.

I've tinkered with cutting some blades from files and sawblades. I don't have anywhere near you talent or patience though.Keep up the good work. I may hit you up for a knife soon.

dlbleak,

Big thanks to you for your support! I have been talking with Bill Coye on the forum about how I am still so blown away by the encouragement I have received here on OKS. I never would have thought I would have orders like this. I am still learning being 4 knives into this journey. But I strive to perfect this craft even if that takes me several hard years. I think as makers, we learn something new on every knife. So I dont know if perfecting this craft will ever be possible....lol

I agree, handle work is a very critical point of the knife making. Cutting out the blanks on the steel horse is the most tedious process in my opinion. But its all part of it.

If you enjoy making knives you will develop the patience and once you start seeing good results you will be hooked. Like I said brother, I damn near gave up....but decided to start reading up on it again.....upgraded my grinder and it has all started to come around. After all, there are still people/Makers out there still using files and whatever they have on hand to make a blade. It takes dedication and a good eye. My goal is to produce designs of my own and try my best to stay away from the norm. My first love was Art, so I am also working on several Fantasy type, tactical blades. I cant give any sneak peaks yet....Still in the drawing phases, but they include Damascus steel:hey3:

dlbleak, thank you again my bro for the love. You guys can expect a give-away from me soon. Just gotta get a few runs done first. I owe you all a great deal to show my appreciation.

I also encourage you to get back at making blades. Contact me or the Master Bill Coye if you have any questions. I would also be more than willing to send you a few pieces to practice on:mosh:

OKS rules!!

Chris
