Ok, this is a weird question, but I was thinking the other day about conjoined twins. What if one of them commits a crime (murder). How do you sentence or punish them? Do you send them to jail? How is that fair to the innocent twin?

Just think about it. I thought it would be interesting to hear ya'lls thoughts.

Ah... ok...

Well.. I think you'd have to keep in mind that unless the "innocent" twin was on the phone to 911 immediately, he would at least be an accessory after the fact.

In reality, he would almost certainly have to have been complicit in the crime in some way.

What if one of them is gay?
What if one of them wants to get married?
What if one of them wants to quit work or work someplace else?
What if one of them wants to go left not right?
What if one of them wants to go to college?
Who gets to drive the car?
Who gets to cook dinner?
Who gets to use the bathroom?

Man I can keep going but I will stop.

I think it is a legitimate and interesting question...... co joined twins are two separate people are they not?

I wonder if they get two different social security numbers? That would be a big indicator to me as to if the government looks at them as one person or two.

I assume they would have different fingerprints, so a match would be able to be made to the murder weapon.
