I’ve been working in Shawnee building a city park. I went over on Tuesday for the first time since the tornado and yeah they took a pretty big hit. Luckily our job site didn’t see any damage.

You are east of Sunrise Cafe, across the street I bet! That place is coming along well! Just a few blocks north of your work it started in.

Friend of mine owns a funeral home in Shawnee. He was a block away from a direct hit. Shame that the high school got damaged. Lots of seniors going to graduate without the feel of it. Last day of school, saying goodbye to the building and teachers... Sucks.

Glad everyone is safe.

Yeah, tornadoes are the darndest things. Take one whole house off the foundation and leave the other with some ruffle leaves. He ended up with his fences blown down and some water damage but nothing that won't take too long to fix up. I don't think he even stopped operating aside from when the power was out.
