Talk me out of selling a M1 Garand to fund a M1A Tanker

I have shot my buddy's SOCOM and my dads M1A. Neither one shoots as good as my Garand or is as reliable from all the M1A mag issues I have seen

If it's your thing, go for it. I wouldn't say it's superior to an M1, but it is cool looking. It's got that nostalgic look to it with the walnut and brown handguard. I like the looks of it much more than a SOCOM.

I would keep the garand, they aren't making anymore, its a piece of history, and prices will go up. you can save up for a m1A and they will still be on the market. I have an M1A because it was easier to get than a Garand

IMO, if you now have a Garand that shoots to suit you, better keep it and work on getting a M1A by some other means. Odds are you'll regret selling it...

I have this problem where I want a M1A tanker, which really just looks like a SOCOM…. Its superior to a Garand but I dont see Garands rolling out of the production lines so lay it on me, I wont even be offended!

Agreed. Correct garands with good specs/condition will more than cover 1800
