No, OU will wait to take their bitchslapping in a BCS bowl. Again.

OU isn't bad, but I don't see them top-5 good, either. Weak conference plays to OU's favor, and I'm betting OSU takes them out this year (and no, I'm not a Poke's fan).

Your spot on... Some people cant see the forest for the trees. Your right I am a Texas fan and I will be the first to say they haven't done crap this year. Now on the other hand Oklahoma has got lucky several games this year. I think next weeks game is going to tell the story! Stay Tuned...

You can't go undefeated without some luck. Next week will be a test for OU for sure. Playing a good team on the road. That is where they have struggled but I am sure if they win it will be because they are lucky. lol

The "you got beat 5 years ago" in the national championship comments are always amusing. Are we talking of the present? or the past?

Everyone screams weak conference but ESPN was riding the Nebraska train pretty hard till Texas beat em, so I duuno. I know the teams OU has beat are looking better than the ones OSU, Texas, and Nebraska beat. We'll see for sure on OSU, they had a really good team last year and we heard about how bad they were gonna beat our walking wounded, then they got blanked. It will be interesting to see them actually play a team with defense before they get to OU.

Then again who knows, OU may get knocked off before OSU, considering their Bi-polar tendencies, anything is possible.

IF and I say it's a definate "IF" OU were to make a play for the Big 12 and BCS they will hear this every week until they win out so that's no big deal. Last year the ball didn't roll our way with injuries and not winning really close games. This year it's been different so far. However, luck counts.... as a Texas fan this should appeal to you.... it's how you got past Nebraska and to the the National Championship last year.

What happened in Lincoln was, Nebraska played Nebraska, and lost. Granted, the Texas defensive staff did their homework & were prepared, but the 'Huskers seemed bound & determined not to stop the Horns from scoring, and equally averse to putting numbers up themselves (dropping 4 almost certain TD passes and giving up almost 100 yds in dumb penalties). And of course Mack & Co certainly got some help from the officiating, which would have to be called substandard at best.....sheesh.

IMHO, OU, OSU, Mizzou, K State.....any of them could have gone to Lincoln yesterday and done just as good a job of helping the Huskers beat themselves at UT did. I don't think the Pellinis could be blamed for that one.

As for who's underrated & overrated.....college ball has gotten to be one of these "on any given day" things. Look at the "upsets" yesterday. There are a few real duds this yr....Minnesota (I think Jenks could beat them), both NM teams, Colorado (it looks like the P10 is starting to revive a little of late, and I think the Buffs are soon gonna realize they wet the bed by jumping over....), but for the rest, there'll likely be some more suprises. The "rankings" really don't mean much until late Nov anyway.

Present. 2-3 in their last five bowls, and worse if you go by only their last five BCS bowls. Can't ding 'em for easily making it to a bowl game every year; they have a good program (but pretty lousy fans, IMHO). But I stand by my prediction of them getting smoked if they make it to a BCS bowl this year, and stand by my opinion that they aren't a top-5 team.

My comments pertained to this year?

Help me out here, this is 2010 is it not? Now, if you want to change the subject to get some digs in and relive OU's losses over the past 5 years then knock yourself out. I watched more than a few STARTERS today in the NFL that are former OU players, I'm comfy with this. Now name your team and we'll see who lives in a glass house.

It's good to see that someone gets it. :D
