Now name your team and we'll see who lives in a glass house.

The lowly KSU Wildcats. And yes, they've been pasted by about everybody since about 2003 (and a century before that), but that's OK. And the reason that's OK is that I'm still a fan, regardless of how well or how bad they play, unlike a majority of the OU "fans" I know, who were conspicuously absent from about '92 or '93 until about 1999.

But all of this is moot, as my whole point that started all of this is that I believe OU is not a top-5 team, and I stand by that, and I believe OU will get beat in a BCS bowl this year, regardless if Kansas State wins another game or not. One has nothing to do with the other. I still think the North is weak, and the conference as a whole is weak this year. OU and OSU look pretty decent, and (along with NU) being the best of the Big XII this year (not sold on Mizzou, either), but I don't see any of them as serious contenders for a National Championship. They might prove me wrong, but I doubt it.

And I believe - unless they choke - that yes, OSU will win the bedlam game this year.

I'm not gonna say anything here, most K-state fans I've met were really cool individuals. Rather, most had better things to do than concern themselves with OU's losses from my experiences. Either way, I really like Snyder, he runs a classy program.

Actually, it's your opinion like many others is what's moot. I was talking about what has actually happened. This all started about me relaying some reality to a Texas fan about being overrated. You chimed in with your opinion which is great, you obviously have an axe to grind, but it in no way relayed to what has happened so far this season. It's only what you think will happen. As an OU fan I'm just going to worry about getting past Mizzu next week. One game at a time.

Wow I never thought when I started this thread, that it would get this serious in here, I am a OU fan, always have been and always will be, even in the past couple years when we wernt playing that good, and now that OU is playing good, everyone else wants to say that we are bandwagoners, thats a bunch of BS. I also like to see OSU do well, that is until bedlam. I like to see every Oklahoma team do well. but the past has nothing to do with it, this year OU is 6-0 as is OSU. how many other teams are undefeated? we just got to let it go by 1 week at a time, and we will see in late November who the real champs are

I agree with GMT that Snider runs a classy program.
Now to the comment that you don't think OU is top 5.
Post your top 5 and lets discuss that.
I haven't put as much thought into the top five as you have but I think it would be fun to discuss them since I don't feel like there is one team that is dominating everyone this year.

Not concerned at all with OU's losses; after all, they made it to bowl games many times while my team was at home. My whole point was I don't think they are a top five team; they are good - no doubt, but IMO not top five (and certainly not #1). And I don't have an axe to grind, other than having to put up with BS from OU fans about how the team I pull for sucks, etc. I know some great OU fans, but know many, many more who are obnoxious idiots - and I don't understand that. How some people base their self worth and the worth of others on on how a college football team does on the field and which team others follow is assinine. But you'll find those types that follow every program (I hear living anywhere in Nebraska is hell, too).

Texas was certainly overrated, NU - who knows? So far OU has been able to maintain their undefeated status, but narrow escapes from much lesser foes is why I don't consider them a top five team - it's nothing personal. I realize that happens to lots of teams, but from just watching other conferences play, it seems there are more dominant teams - many who have at least one loss.

As to jbarnett: I honestly don't know if I could pick a top five without looking even more into it; it's been very back and forth this year with a lot of teams, so it would be difficult.

And OU should take care of Mizzou this weekend; no one can choke like a Gary Pinkel-coached team. And I'm very familiar with teams that choke; I'm also a KC Chiefs fan.

Sure you are, that's how you chimed in on this conversation. You've repeatedly said your opinion on where you think they should be ranked. Tp me that shows a preoccupation with OU. People that simply believe someone is overrated tend to let it go, or at least I do. I sure didn't worry too much about Texas last year being overrated last year or Boise State being able to go undefeated when they should be in a more competitive conference. I guess I just don't understand why people concern themselves so much with OU?

I honestly don't know if I could pick a top five without looking even more into it; it's been very back and forth this year with a lot of teams, so it would be difficult.

Now that's interesting.

I'd rather be #1 if I was OU. Why? Because whoever is rated #1 will be invited to the BCS game. OU already has a target plastered on thier back so who cares.

And I haven't got to finish watching the Tex/Neb game yet. But I was tickled to see Tex beat the Neb bug eaters, that was thier original nickname.
