Hah, assuming you've been together for a least a decent while and have decent feelings for one another, I can't see how a message of "Hey, if there's an apocalypse, we're splitting up" wouldn't be a little disconcerting. Depending on the person's mind and insecurity level that could sound like anything from a light-hearted remark to "In an apocalypse, rather than stick with the only person I'm really close to and might ever seen again, I think I'd rather go it alone. Oh, and also you're dead weight".

Just food for thought.
