A doe hasn’t been taken off my place up there since 2018, but I would have a hard time passing this one with a perfectly placed bullseye on her side.

Deer are definitely creatures of habit. The feed drops at 7am, and she showed up early to make sure she gets the first bite.

He’s been pretty elusive. I think that’s only the third pic I’ve got of him.

Just curious RM, why don’t you thin out the does?

Using the pre 2011-2013 drought deer numbers as a basis, I don’t think taking does is a “necessity”, AND the hunters on all sides of my place are shoot does. I don’t need the meat, but if my son wants to kill a doe or two, he’s welcome to do it.

All my bucks are gray, all the does are still red with a couple starting to turn.
