After Bowhunter posted a picture of a hard horned buck a couple days ago, I started looking through some pictures from past years. On my place, bucks start showing up hard horned on August 26, but so far this year, I still haven’t seen one.
Here’s a picture from last year.

Left out of there at 1713 hrs.

Look what showed up at 2042 hrs.

Then when getting home, I spotted this doe bedded down at the end of our garage. She never moved while backing in the trailer and unhitching.

That’s a nice buck, but I’m more impressed with the beard on the turkey.

Yeah, they’re coming from one of two places. I need to set up a couple cams so I can figure out where to ambush them before they get to the feeder.
