Sam is spinning in his grave. His kids are posessed. Making money is one thing... warping the world economy, running vendors with an iron fist and killing old style "local business" is not what Mr. Walton wanted...

There have been a *few* towns and counties that kept Walmart out... and they are still doing well enough.

I I was shocked to see Kershaw knives on display in the Stillwater Wal-Mart. I was blown away when I read “Made in USA” on the package. For the most part I dislike the idea of even going in Wal-Mart but sometimes they can surprise you.

Free enterprise and competition in the market place are a bad thing. Local businesses that fail do so all by themselves as they fail to adapt to the changing marketplace. WalMart draws in business. The small business owners adapt to that and capitalize on the increased traffic to the area. It's all about finding the niche and filling it.

Walmart doesnt pay employees for the job they do anyway. They take advantage of the economy. They hired me to stock groceries but I ended up doing inventory. They never paid me the money for the higher paying job and the work conditions are not good at all. Theres RATS in half the delies they have, the back is a disaster they put chemicals on top of food. That place is a hell hole and should be fined like crazy.

If you were doing the higher paying job (I assume you mean PG4 Inventory Control rather than PG2 stocker) more than half of the time and documented it, all you had to do was call the District Manager. If the DM didn't want to fix it, you had one word to say back: "Regional". The RMs HATE getting called to fix a problem, because the protocol generally includes them traveling out to the store.

The AMs are supposed to keep documentation of what your assignment was that day if it changed from what was generated by the scheduling program. If they don't, DMs get very angry.

Call the health department. I can think of at least one store (not Weatherford) that had that issue. And that's an employee issue, not a Wal-Mart issue.

I was at Walmart today, and saw a Washington Co, AR inmate stocking a freezer shelf. It just got me thinking... It's great that he's out working, instead of just sitting in a cell doing nothing. But is it right that Walmart gets subsidized labor from the county? They're the world's largest retailer, something about this just stinks to me.

There's a reason Walmart is the world's largest retailer.

Figure it out.

Shouldn't be all that difficult.

Maybe it was for Halloween....his costume....

What kind of fool would wear a prison inmate uniform on purpose?

It would attract all kinds of unwanted attention and hell - in some places it might even get you shot if one thought you were escaped.

I think the stocker probably was an inmate on work release.

That's my story and I'mmmmm stickin' to it!
