Are you sure your friend isn't a closet liberal and Obama supporter? I mean, you know, the ammo rich should give their fair share to the ammo unprepared.

Dave

But what if he is a Tea Party Republican? This for me shines a light on what's going on in this country, and why we can't seem to get anything done at any level of government. To imply that the "other side," whichever side that happens to be, is inherently evil is to say that about half the country has to be written off, which means we don't have a country any more.

I believe jerks come in red, and in blue. Probably some independent jerks out there too. I know good people come in red and in blue.

To get back to the OP's question, as others have said, he'll either come around or he won't. You don't owe him any more than you want to give him.

I agree with what others have said and that if the ammo thing costs your friendship then you were not friends to begin with. My best friend asks to buy 9mm ammo from me often. I did sell him his first two boxes but have since stopped selling it to him. We are still best friends. Actually he wanted to buy my G17 9mm pistol a year ago and I knew he did not have the excess cash to buy it so I just gave it to him for his birthday. Man, I am a good friend.

I had a friend that sort of the same thing almost happened.
I was telling him about a deal I had made about 8 years ago on some .223. Managed to score about 3K when it was 99/K and I still had some of it squirreled away.

After a weekend of shooting, he asked me if I could sell him some of my .223.
I said sure and gave him a price that was below market.
But, but, but, you only paid 99 bucks for it.
Yeah, but it will cost 269 to replace it.He understood.

Of course, we share ammo when shooting, and I don't count how many rounds friends shoot.
