Either my Marlin 1894 in .357 mag or a 6.5 X 55 sporterized Swede. Depends where I'm hunting. Always pack old Dan Wesson (.357) on my hip for those close in shots.

PSE Brute, Beman or Easton arrows and NAP Thunderhead broadheads, might take the old Remington 788 in 308 out once or twice, love that rifle, old and beat up but has killed everything I have ever aimed it at. My cousin in Louisiana had it before me, I have killed 15 plus deer with it, he probably killed close to 50 with it. Just a great old rifle.

I'm going to stick with my crossbow. I keep passing up 15 yard shots on does and a spike. If I were to fork out the money for a gun tag, I would use my open sights 30-30.

This is going to be my first year with the new peep sights on my 30-30 so I will have to carry it at least once but I will probably do my killing with the .308 across the hayfield.
