My opinions on politics and religion are my own and as long as I don't slander the place I work for, it's none of my employer's business.

I totally agree; however, other posts besides politics and religion are more telling. I had a new hire not show up for two days and when she came back Monday morning she said her mom was in the hospital from an accident. Wednesday rolls around and she calls in saying her mom died and she needed to go to the funeral. The following Monday rolls around and she shows up with muffler burns all over her neck. Just out of curiosity I did a FB scan of her page and see that her mom was asking how her weekend away went with "Airmen Joe" during his 96. A little more research revealed her character and the previous weekends she lied to me. Needless to say our friendship ended.

If any future employer want so look and my Facebook and doesn't like guns, I'm screwed. If he's hoping to find porn, I'm screwed. If he's hoping to find gun porn, I've got a job!.

Facebook is blocked from our work computers, but a lot of folks have the internet capable phones and spend way too much time on it.

My boss actually sent me a friend request. I went ahead and accepted it. I got to thinking later if it would be fun to post something like, "Boy I had fun at work last night, sneaked out about 11:00, went to the bar, drank and danced till about 3:00 then sneaked back into the mill and finished out the shift." Post it about 8:00 AM on a Sunday morning from home. I just wonder what time my phone would start ringing Monday morning. He rarely posts anything, but I wonder how much he reads.

Hiding from all you crazy people!!!
Insurance companies can and have use them against people as well.
Postings about going on vacation, exactly what time your leaving and when you are coming back. Pretty much mean, hey I'll be leaving tonight so you have til next Friday to break in and steal all my chit and not have to worry about anyone being home....
Some insurance companies will try not to cover your losses and or just drop your coverage completely.

I was in college when it started and you had to have a college email to join. That was the good ol days of Facebook. It was a gold mine for hooking up with chicks.

Just don't sign up for FB...

There.

Problem solved.

Not only do you not have to worry about your boss spying on you you avoid entering the largest repository and distributor or computer viruses, trojans, malware, spyware etc on the internet.

And why would anyone want to reconnect with someone they made no effort to stay connected with for the past 20, 30, 40.... years?

Wierd.
Just plain wierd.

That said:

Man! I wish I'd thought of it!
