I was selling new Glocks in my store 20 years ago for $479 to $499. I still see some new Glocks today for that price. As a matter of fact, I think a lot of gun models have had steady prices since then.
What I find incredible is something like a basic Saiga sporter rifle that I sold for $200-ish (if I recall correctly) is now 5 times that much.
It's weird what some guns do in terms of price...both up and down.
I still have some Federal American Eagle .45ACP ammo that I kept after I sold the shop that's marked $8.99 box. Wish ammo prices had done what Glock prices have done.
