If OC is the gun equivalent of an oil filter wrench, consider the cops as equivalent to the grease monkeys at Jiffy Lube!
That's really leaving a lot of room for cop-bashing jokes...

I'm all for open carry and for one reason only. I want it as an extra tool in my toolbox. No weapon can be 100% concealed at all times unless its a pocket pistol IMO. Lets say i'm at wal-mart and the wife wants an item on the top shelf, towards the back. When I reach up for that item, my shirt tail also raises, therefore exposing my firearm. I currently have to hold my shirt down with one hand and grab with the other. With OC I could just grab the item, fix my shirt when i'm done and continue on. Its just a little more protection for me, legal wise.
I personally think if billy bob wants to strap his 1911 on his hip and walk into wal-mart then he should be able to. I think its an idiotic arrogant move to do that but if he wants to go for it. I'll never openly carry like that but thats my personal choice.
Why not buy a shirt one size larger?
On me, a large comes right even with the bottom of my belt. An extra large lands about an inch below that. No one notices. I can lift my arms as high as possible and the shirt still remains over my belt. Unless I'm really stretching, even my horizontal spare magazine stays concealed. The only thing that doesn't is the bottom of the holster for my Ka-Bar TDI, but that's not really an issue.
I'm not trying to challenge MB or anyone, but why is everyone against open carry?? Instead of picking apart every scenario I present, why not get on board with the Constitution and help in the battle to restore RKBA??

In extreme close quarters i.e. 0-5 feet, speed of draw is NOT a decisive factor.
