We need to trust fellow conservatives in other states to do the right thing. We could also support those out of state by contributing to their campaigns directly. I did that last year with Kimberly Klacik, the Republican candidate for the 7th Congressional district in Maryland.
Would the dimocrats do the same thing? If we let them they will control every committee in the congress. That path of voting out every senior Republican is a disaster IMHO.

dennishoddy, post:That concept can have two sides.
Those that are elected in perpetuity like Mitch McConnel or our own Inhofe hold important positions in DC can direct money and support to things like Tinker AFB or fight to shut bases/businesses down by offering incentives.
It's a dirty job they do, but their every waking moment in politics is, how am I going to get reelected and how much can I do to my constituents to make that happen.
We benefit in some ways but create a swamp in the process.
What do we do now?

You left out one thing "How am I going to get rich?"

My decision will be based on the individual. However, it’d be tough for someone who claims the democrat party to get my vote. Really I’m not a fan of parties and don’t much care for the fact that we pretty much only have 2 large parties. I’m really thinking politics ain’t for me and considering never paying attention to it our voting again. Just let those that wanna deal with it handle who is my elected officials. Ofcourse I’d have to stay quiet and not complain. I’m 36yo. Registered to vote for the first time at 31yo when I started really paying attention to politics. It’s done nothing to enrich my life so far but it’s definitely pissed me off plenty. I registered as a Republican just so I could vote in the primary. Really I didn’t wanna have a “label” but I did it. I’ve regretted it ever since. Thinkin maybe I need to change it to independent but I may just burn the Daggum card and never look back. Lol

Don't get discouraged. Weigh the facts and vote your conscience. Don't look back knowing you have done the right thing.
A third party vote is like throwing your voice over the cliff.
My party lost this election cycle and we can debate how for the rest of our lives but I'm moving ahead to see how I can help get it back in the next election cycle.
There are a lot of folks out there that know our country is headed in the wrong direction right now. 73 million exactly.
We can take it back in two years. We survived Carter, We survived ostupid and brain dead biden for 8 years and the Republic still stands although it's head is bowed slightly.
Take the house back in two years and the libs are nurtured for the most part as the house controls the money.
Gonna be a rocky road, but lets fight this injustice we just went through and see if we can pressure the politicians to do one thing.....voter ID required so we can actually have a fair and transparent election while the rest of the world isn't laughing at our process.

If the GOP takes control of both houses, it doesn't matter if they're fossils or newbies--they'll be in charge. Control of the chambers of Congress is by majority rule, not seniority.

But the majority always votes in the dino's.
Pelosi brought members back into the house that were covid positive to assure her position. They rule the roost.

How would that happen when they are not in your state?
A lesson I work with my daughter on all the time is "You worry about your performance and not worry about the other person in the race". Basically meaning, we can control ourselves, and if we focus on our performance we will do better. This is a slightly bad example in that like @OKNewshawk pointed out we can contribute to races across the country should we desire, and money influences politics for sure. But....but.... the most key thing is keeping our own house in order first.

As I stated earlier agreeing to another member that we need to let our representatives and senators know how disappointed in what is going on in DC but we need to send the same notification to their puppet masters and let them know their candidate may not be of the same party the next election and they may lose that exalted office they cherish.
All that above ^^^^ is rhetoric. Schumer or McConnel don't care if they are the minority or majority leader. They are still in front of the TV almost daily and actually run the country. Voters in their respective states are afraid they will lose the country if they don't vote for them or pelosi so the swamp continues.
The swamp runs the country currently. It didn't the last 4 years and that is why Trump is out. We can debate why for years. The truth will finally come out but it will not change this election. Just the same as hillary is still walking and James Comey is not in jail.
