I'll bite.
ANY pistol round is a pencil puncher. Doesn't have enough velocity to do the type of damage to actually stop a man. .45acp will not stop a man dead in his tracks, nor will a 9mm, it's about the damage to vitals that will kill a man fastest. You lug around a heavy 1911 with 7+1 rounds of man stopping .45acp while I lug around a piece of plastic glock 17 with 17+1 tiny 9mm rounds. I can guarantee you, I can push 9mm rounds faster in a much more efficient manner, in a better group AND at numerous different vitals then you can with your .45acp. The .45 is harder to handle (for most people), which in turn means tracking of the front site is more difficult, which in turn means less efficient shot placement, which in turn means a waste of ammo, which in turn means bad guy is still fighting to kill you.
9mm rounds these days expand almost as large as a .45. 9mm rounds are faster rounds, which will penetrate more. Yeah yeah, 9mm is a faster round which will kill little Johnny because it's going to go in one end and out the other. ANY FREAKING BULLET WILL DO THAT. Science has helped in fixing that problem some. You can go ahead and spray and pray your .45 rounds all you want. At least with a 9mm, I'll know where I'm shooting and me at least hitting BG in the chest will slow that bullet down enough in case of over penetration. I dunno about you, but I'd much rather have an over penetrated round that has already mushroomed and is slow waaaaaaaay down then a not so accurate .45acp fired round.
9mm round is so much more efficient, in round capacity, price, availability, just everything. There are pros and cons to EVERY round out there, but there are more pros to a 9mm round then there is a .45 round.

No kidding ... that sure is a long way around saying "shot placement and rifle calibers are the ONLY way to go"

I don't understand the "Gunshow Loophole" thing. You cannot buy a new gun at a gunshow (just like a storefront) without filling out the 1040.
One ultra liberal Tulsa World columnist ...won't mention her name...is constantly talking about closing the so called "Loophole" and banning private sales of firearms, yet the same paper she works for has several firearms for sale in the classified section every day.
Guess its alright to sell firearms if your paying the Tulsa World to advertise them for you?
