Obama isn't my ideal candidate, but when forced to choose between him or Romney, he's got my vote. Romney scares the hell out of me. I would prefer a world without religion, but until then, I believe it should stay in church, stay in families, and stay out of politics. That's the biggest, of many, deal breakers for me when it comes to Romney. Not to say that Obama doesn't have some of his own with his cronies involvement in Fast and Furious, his extension of the Patriot Act, Obamacare and his "Make War, Not Love" policy that reminds me of any other power-hungry, blood-thirsty Republican.
I find it funny when people talk about Obama taking away your individual rights, yet, for example, he supports gay marriage, the repeal of DADT, is pro-choice, and supports the decriminalization of marijuana (though we're yet to see this in action). I like that he wants schools to focus on math, science, and technology while Romney wants to violate the 1st Amendment by putting God back in public schools.
Like I said, neither are without their faults, but Obama's list is much shorter than Romney's. Therefore, Obama, while not being close to my ideal candidate, will most likely get my vote this year only because he's the lesser of two evils.

The first Amendment says "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". That does not prohibit God in the schools, in fact it specifically does not "prohibit the free exercise thereof". The Supreme Court has removed God from the schools. The schools back then allowed and encouraged God in the schools.
The First Amendment was written to prohibit the government form establishing a church of the country such as the Church of England that the pilgrims moved here to escape, among other things.

In my 20 years in the USAF, the main thing that we all knew was that unlawful orders are not required to be obeyed. Though many states have enacted legislation since to prevent this from happening again, we all know that the Government will do what the Government can get away with if we let them. BTW, traders acquire better guns by trading up, whereas traitors go against the Constitution and attempt to confiscate lawfully owned weapons.
I agree...not Obama! On associated front. Make sure you all are members of the NRA. Even if you don't completely agree with entirely everything the NRA does and publishes...they have your best interest with respect to 2A at heart. The last statistic I remember was that there were over 11 million hunting permits issued in the USA (I think in 2010) and there is still less than half that number of NRA members...and I think an estimated 80 million gun owners in the USA. It was as surprise to me. A great deal more folks should be members of the NRA if you want to keep your gun rights, your guns and keep folks we like seated in the Washington easy chairs.
Threads like this remind me why I primarily stick to the classifieds.

i wonder why there are 80 million gun owners, and 11 million hunting permits and only 5 million NRA members? Perhaps the dont wanna be needlessly begged, spammed and junk mailed to death. Or maybe 75 million gun owners dont know the NRA has their best interest at heart.
Are they endorsing Romney or Obama? Just wondering because neither of these guys are what i consider gun law freindly.
