I'm in Lone Grove and haven't sold my guns. Right now with ammo hard to get I haven't been shooting much but do need to get out and sight in my new Aimpoint that's on my 556. I usually shoot out at the lake range, but haven't been there in awhile. Give me a shout sometime...

i've heard of this so-called lake range a few times. where is it at and what are the rules? i.e., hunting liscence, check in?

Not sure Kyle. A question for the mods.
Dlbleak, it's Hickory Creek WMA. South side of Lake Murray. Two benches and 75 yrd range. Hunting license required. I've been carded. Nice WMA, 8k acres, creek bottoms, got a few outta there including my 14 pnt wall hanger.

It's SE of Lake Murray in the Hickory Creek hunting area. They do require a hunting lic but that's it. It is fairly short and only a couple of shooting benches but it's better than nothing. I would rather shoot outside any day...well, as long as the sun is shining.

I have a great idea. Why don't you talk to the Chickasaw over at WinStar and see if they will build a public shooting range. They've got the money and the land. I can't wait.

I wish I had that kind of pull with the Chickasaw Nation! Oyousooner and me, would be in hog heaven if they had a range!
