I didn't realize that it was illegal but I did comment to the wife, while in line, that nobody was wearing Trump or Harris clothing.....learn something every day.

If it’s illegal, it must’ve been changed within the last few years. When I went to do early voting in 2008, I saw several people wearing political t-shirts. The Sarah Palin as Rosie the Riveter shirts were particularly popular.

The last time I did in-person absentee voting, it was chilly and exceptions was wearing a coat or jacket, so they could’ve all been wearing political shirts for all I could tell.

Next time will vote by mail. The inconvenience of getting my signature notarized at the bank for free pales in comparison to standing on line for 2-3 hrs.

You might have an alternate notary selected. I don’t know what the limit is, but the Warning sheet that came with my absentee ballot warns against “Notarizing or witnessing more absentee ballots than allowed by law.”

I think that only applies if the notary comes to your home or location to do it. If they stay in their office, like a bank, there is no limit

My bank Notary has an office at my bank, so she is exempt.

Are there limits on the number of absentee ballots a notary public may notarize?
Yes. State law allows a notary to notarize up to twenty (20) absentee ballot affidavits at a single election. Subject to the exceptions below, this twenty-signature notarization limit applies statewide.
However, there are exceptions to this limit:

• The limit of twenty (20) affidavits does not apply to the notarization of absentee ballot affidavits at the place of business of a notary public that is open to the general public during the normal business hours.
• A notary public can request permission from a county election board secretary to notarize more than twenty (20) absentee ballots at a single election in the county served by that secretary.
