I was going to say I “did” 5 Guys once but the nuts were stale. Sounds a bit gay SO will say I ate at 5 Guys once and the food was average and the peanuts were stale. Just east of 5 Guys in Edmond is SB Burger Joint and it is awful. They use precooked patties and had poor service. The Garage on Bryant is “better” … hadn’t been to Flat Tire over by UCO in some time. I liked their fried pickles.
Don't feel gay, when I was in college I ate Ramen all the time....

I like to dip fries in peppered cream gravy. No idea how I became diabetic. :P
My local Lot-A-Burger used to offer gravy for dipping your fries but they quit. We have a local legend here in Bartlesville that been on some food shows called Murphys Steak House that been here since the 30's. Their house specialty is a "hot hamburger" which is an open faced burger on Texas toast covered with about a bushel of hand cut fries then smothered in your choice of brown or white gravy. About 90% of the customers order that.

Hmmm, note to self, if ever going to Bartlesville go to Murphys steal house, and take extra insulin along. :P :P

Y'all don't sound like you have experienced White Castle after 2am. Used to be a dime each or a dozen for a dollar. Add fries and coffee and it was better than the Awful House and not nearly as rowdy...
Wish we had a White Castle. I only get to eat there when I travel through St Louis. I can't recall if it's their fries or onion rings but one is avg and the other superb.

I’ve never had anything at Carl’s Junior’s so can’t relate. Once in a while I get a great delicious hamburger at Whataburger but they aren’t always so tasteful.
I think the best are right at home. Grass-fed HB meat. I use a potato scoop like they use in cafeterias and sort of level the HB and having cut wax paper in squares put the HB on wax paper with another wax paper on top and use a large can to flatten the meat and then comes the grill. I like all the salad on the HB with mustard and Miricle Whip.
Carl's is charbroiled like BK if you like that, I do. They built a brand new one in Bartlesville a few years ago and I was excited but the service was ATROCIOUS we ate there several times and never once did we get our order all together. They'd give you half the bring the other half out 15 mins later so you always had to eat your whole burger then sit and wait for your fries. They went under in about a year. Now it's another damn McDonalds.

That's what I get whenever we go, but I get the chips and salsa instead of the tater soup. I used to get the chili, but last time I did, it sucked. It was so bad, I complained to the waiter and he told me it used to be made there by hand, but now they buy it pre-made and frozen.
Yeah the Chili at Texas Roadhouse sucks as does McCalesters

Hanks was good, I think they have changes owners, quality seems to have gone down. also Hank and Bill (Bill's Jumbo burger were supposed to have been brothers)
Hanks was started in 1946 if I'm not mistaken so I'm pretty sure they've changed hands unless Hank is flipping burgers at 120 yrs old. I ate there a few years back and it was still awesome, they were lined up out the door. My wife and I ordered a large fry to split and couldn't eat half of them.
