Over 200 posts. Have you tried one of the recommended ones yet?
Robert's in El Reno has double meat fried onion cheese burger and a basket (1/2 basket order fills basket) and a iced tea for under $11.00

Sorry, but no. I rarely ever get to that part of the world. The only reason I was in Edmond yesterday was for mandatory training that my job requires. We only had 1 hour for lunch, plus, I was in a state vehicle and was only allotted so many miles to travel outside of my destination. The state of Oklahoma is very picky and snooty about that.

But I do plan on hitting Robert's in El Reno one day. I do love onion burgers! It'll probably be around November/December. We go to the OKC area to look at Christmas lights.

My favorite burgers, by far, are the ones I throw on the grill myself at home. As far as going out and grabbing one cooked up somewhere other than home the best burgers I've found in Tulsa come from a very small hole in the wall place called Bill's Jumbo Burgers on Admiral.
Where at on Admiral? I'm always looking for good burger joints in Tulsa, I like Brownies on Harvard and Hanks by the traffic circle on Admiral. I wanted to try Claudes on Brookside but the last time I drove by there was a sign in the window so I think it folded. Don't know if Webers is stilling business either there was also an old school joint on Lewis north of 11th st but I think it folded too. Tulsa used to have about a dozen great mom and pop burger joints that were legendary. I recall when there was only one Ron's and it was tiny. Ive also never got around to trying Ike's Chili if it's still in business.

Well I did the healthy thing today -- black forest ham sammich and a Cutie. No chips!! 😭 With a big glass of iced water because the damned cat thinks he needs to drink out of my glass every single time I get something. Unsweet iced tea is my preference, but caffeine is a big no-no for cats and he doesn't just get a few licks. Silly fella drinks half of what I have.

Honestly, eating healthier seems to be getting easier for me. I never was really fond of going out every night anyway and for some reason I seem to have hit a wall. I'd rather just get a cup of coffee and curl up with a book on the sofa than go out. Poor Grumpy. I am ruining his life.

Ok...so I'm in Edmond today for training. We struggle thru the first half and break for lunch. The officer with me asks, "so what are you in the mood for?"

This officer goes to a lot of eatin' joints, so I trust his judgment.

I say, "ya know...I'm in the mood for a good burger and fries. Who do you think is the best around here close to us?"

We only had an hour.

He pops off, "I like Five Guys."
"Is it expensive?" I ask (you know the tight fisted, cheap ******* that I am :rolleyes2 ).
"Nah, not too bad" he replies.

So we go to Five Guys.

$18.29!!! :faint:

That's for just and me alone! WTF!!! :ugh2:
It's not that bad, comparatively. A burger, fries & a drink at McD's is closing on $15 now. $12 at Sonic.

You know better than that. KumNGo has the best coffee. Starbucks sucks goat balls.
LOL. I have never been to a restaurant that overcharged to keep the rif raf to a minimum where the product was top tier. I always thought Five Guys and Starbucks and Torchy’s and those type places had to do that to make up for their food being ****.

Not for me. I only buy a Sonic burger after 5pm on Tuesdays at half price. And I rarely ever eat a McDs worm burger. :puke: I usually just get their chicken nugs, which suck too. Luckily, I don't gotta go to McDs very often.
