I have to disagree on that. The NFL and NFLPA have both been pretty vigilant in protecting college football, in sharp contrast to what the NBA did.

They’re also being forced to study by the athletics departments to maintain eligibility.Well, yeah, they're getting everything paid for. And now a lot of them are making FAR more than they'd ever make in an actual job.
No doubt they worked hard in class and earned the grades given.I haven’t looked recently, but the graduation rates among athletes has been higher than in the general student population over the last 30 years or so.
College athletics have been about the Benjamins ever since the universities started hiring the coaches and building the stadiums. It’s a way for the universities to maintain alumni involvement, which means more donations to the universities, and not just for athletics.Yeah but college football was synonymous with amateur status. It's far from amateur football now. I guess I'll give you it's college/university branded still, but that's it.
