I have a weakness for pineapple upsidedown cake.

Several years ago I came home from work and walked into a house smelling of fresh baked pineapple upsidedown cake. Immediatley I went on the hunt. Not in the cake keeper, not still in the oven...wait the oven is cold, WTF?
What is that? A candle? A candle that makes the house smell like fresh baked pineapple upsidedown cake? Man, that ain't right.
I threw the danged candle away.

My favorite cake/dessert in the whole world is Tiramisu,if someone else makes it. I tried once after going all over the place to get exactly the right stuff to make it, and fudded it up. Never tryin again. I buy it now at an Italian restaurante like youre supposed to do.

If I was to bake a cake myself it would be German chocolate or Red Velvet, but no one else in the house likes either so I would be stuck eating one all by myself even when I wanted one for my birthday. My wife goes to Marie Calenders or Merritts bakery and brings me something on my birthday now.

My wife makes great cakes and pies and her mothers recipe for a basic homeade from scratch not out of box mix is just a basic chocolate sheet cake with chocolate icing and pecans on top- its a fave of ours. Her homeade key lime pie though is hit and miss- she squeezes her own Key limes by hand but if you rush her for some reason they come out too sour.

My momma makes great homeade pineapple upside down and angel food cakes. Mmmmm.

Lollll. My wife and almost her whole family are all diabetics and watching them hit the sweets after dinner at family gatherings is like watching a bunch of vampires jump on a fresh body and tear it up.

German chocolate... haven't had one in over a year now though, it is one of my wifes favorites as well but since we discovered chocolate was one of her migraine triggers I don't bring goddies like that home with me.

But cheese cake is good so when we have a sweet tooth we do cheese cake now.

Easy.

Funfetti Cake with rainbow chip icing.

Glass of milk required. Sometimes I put the cake in a bowl and fill it with milk.

This is the icing that it has to be.

I love homemade cake as much as the next guy, but that confetti cake with rainbow chip icing is effing amazing. Sweet, moist, creamy frosting, sweet, delicious, delicious, delicious, the list goes on and on.

I really like it made into cupcakes too. I probably like cupcakes more than sheet cake.
