This sucker was in mine and Jack Jack's way when we took a walk down our little private lane just before dark . He's was a big one and is a good snake now.

A friend that makes self bows tans copperhead skins to put on his bows. Makes big bucks from folks that will probably never draw them, only for display.
I have heard that copperhead skins are popular with those who shoot traditional bows.
Cut the skin down the middle and have two bands.

Went to the well house this morning to shut the water off to the house to replace a faulty water valve and found this one inside. I keep a 2X4X4 in there to prop the door open and he didn’t fare very well against it. 26”
I'm glad I'm in El Reno- Worse we've had is a couple of little yellow/black garden snakes, but me and a friend of mine were on our walk this morning and a scorpion was right in the middle of the walk trail. I carry a 30" extra heavy broom stick and a mace sprayer since it's a school track. I smashed him with my broom stick. I grew up in this area and we never had them around when I was a kid- did the immigrants bring them?
They’re native to Oklahoma.
