Did you read each account and did you see any differences or change in the accounts since the mid/late 80's? It's glaringly obvious.

I skimmed them. The thing I saw pointed out was a decrease in shootings since that time period. What did I miss?

The upshot is that the school believed that notifying police created a "school to prison pipeline". Therefore, although Cruz exhibited multiple warning signs, the school chose to keep the information from authorities.

blaming society for one's inadequacies in raising their children is part of human nature. "My child does 'X' because of video games, rap music, rock n roll, movies, or because celebrities told them to," is just an excuse of a lazy parent. Passing the blame seems pretty consistent across the political spectrum.

Since the FBI didn't act on the tip on Cruz back in Sept., since the US Air Force & NICS didn't keep the gun out of the hands of the TX shooter Devin Kelly, since gun free zones don't work, since all the other anti-gun legislation that is FUBAR/SNAFU, etc., lets infringe on and take away all the 2nd Amendment Rights of law abiding citizens.

School shootings up until that general time, it often involved adults killing spouses at school, or random adults, kids that pulled the trigger were there to kill the adult or kid that did them wrong. You can see the killings move from "knowing the victim" to "knowing the victim and killing a couple extras" to "killing folks that they didn' even know". Revenge is now directed at the general school population , and not solely the individuals that did them wrong. Not sure if that's a coping mechanism for guilt or what, the fact that they don't know some of their victims.
