Trying to understand this kind of stuff...lots of theories. Here is.my $.02

There is a significant lack of discipline in society and school in general. Kids grow up with fewer and fewer consequences. Enter a student with an emotional issue. Fewer consequences exsist because poor behavior is part of the "disability". Said student acts violently without regard for others-hitting, kicking, cursing....with little consequence. The message that is sent...day after day....year after year?Episodes escalate. Mix in some shoot em up video games and violent tv shows and movies. What are the odds of this kid growing up to commit acts of violence?

Seems to me that these horrible shooting are a symptom of a growing disease. It' a recipe for disaster. Somehow society is surprised when the same ingredients are mixed together time after time.

I watched it and Geraldo made a complete fool of himself. He was saying that the shooter used a “machine gun”. What an idiot. Why don’t people ever set the records straight on stupid statements like that and say it is not a machine gun? But Larry did lay it out pretty darn good. Geraldo sounded just like the MSM liberals.
Heraldo is a MSM liberal. He is one of the token liberals on FOX they keep on there to amuse us.

Followup: the FBI has now officially admitted it screwed up in this case:
FBI Statement on the Shooting in Parkland, Florida
On January 5, 2018, a person close to Nikolas Cruz contacted the FBI’s Public Access Line (PAL) tipline to report concerns about him. The caller provided information about Cruz’s gun ownership, desire to kill people, erratic behavior, and disturbing social media posts, as well as the potential of him conducting a school shooting.

Under established protocols, the information provided by the caller should have been assessed as a potential threat to life. The information then should have been forwarded to the FBI Miami Field Office, where appropriate investigative steps would have been taken.

We have determined that these protocols were not followed for the information received by the PAL on January 5. The information was not provided to the Miami Field Office, and no further investigation was conducted at that time.

FBI Director Christopher Wray said:

“We are still investigating the facts. I am committed to getting to the bottom of what happened in this particular matter, as well as reviewing our processes for responding to information that we receive from the public. It’s up to all Americans to be vigilant, and when members of the public contact us with concerns, we must act properly and quickly.

“We have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy. All of the men and women of the FBI are dedicated to keeping the American people safe, and are relentlessly committed to improving all that we do and how we do it.”

I think they are running under Obama rules thinking hillary is still going to be their boss.
Perhaps they should consult their new boss and see what he thinks.
I watched a program today with an ex FBI and an Ex Secret service agent discussing how the FBI failed.
It appears the "if you see something, report it" may actually just be a recorded message now, and has to go through a plethora of channels to get to the FBI station in the area vs past when a caller actually talked to an agent in their district.
I can't verify this, and aren't going to call that number, but this could be an issue that needs to be resolved if that's the case.

He shouldn't have been legally able to own a firearm. I don't know what laws need to be changed in order for that to be the case, but it needs to be the case. If we can't figure out a way to keep dip$hits like this from being armed, we are all going to pay the price by losing our right to exercise our God given rights.
The only laws that need to be changed are the ones that exempt government agents from criminal liability for their negligence.

Don't know why you're getting all butt hurt, other than you want to pretend to be the expert with the final word, when you and I both know you're not. Misrepresenting my posts and hurling insults doesn't make you more right. It just makes you look more desperate to "win".

Here's the thing. Anti-depressants, anti-anxiety and similar drugs can be (and are) prescribed by all sorts of "health professionals" that have no background or training in mental health. Physician's Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and even MD's have no business dabbling with psychotropics.

Ahhhh.... and now we get to the true root of the issue. Again, you think you know more about it than the medical professionals, AND the pharmaceutical manufacturers AND the researchers. No one understands it better than you. lol. Good luck, man.
