While you were, over the last half-century, systematically destroying, displacing, denouncing, and dismantling the historic American nation and its civil society — all moral norms, every basis of public commonality, all respect for our history and heritage, public expression of religion, the nuclear family, sexual restraint, and every natural structure and category and hierarchy that held civilization together and gave young people a framework within which to learn dignity and duty and gratitude and belonging and meaning and self-control — while you were doing all that, what did you think was going to happen? And now you want to “fix” the moral and social wreckage you’ve created by disarming us against your future predations upon our rights, our culture, and upon the society we still hope, against hope, to restore and preserve?"...

It's all part of the plan. Destroy all that is good, engender evil, demonize arms into oblivion, and stand ready to implement dictatorial rule. With arms gone, we will not have a chance in Hell to keep or restore freedom, civil society, and morality.

I don't think you have to look any farther than the fact that they are acting on the behest/direction of their lib dem socialism indoctrinating teacher.

Doubtful. This is another manifestation of an organized Left, that is, as I posted earlier, angry, motivated, well-financed, and focused on winning at the polls in 2018 and beyond. The election of Trump--and what it represents--has galvanized the Left into action in a way that no event has since the Viet Nam war. They have protested against Trump--and by extension everyone who voted for him--from Election Night onward. The kids in Florida have been recruited as the newest foot soldiers in the Culture Wars, but it is hardcore antigun activists, not teachers, who are organizing these events. They want to win at the polls, and they will stoop as low as they need to go in order to further their goals. Again, there is a major storm brewing, and gun owners will only ignore it at their peril.

I just saw an article stating that Trump is open to changing our background check system. He is suooosed to be working with the idiots that are behind the “fix NICS “ bs. We are gonna end up really getting screwed if that bill passes. That bill effectively removes due process for us. If they decide to put you or I on the no gun list, we have no say in it. It will then be up to us to go to court and fight to get our rights back. I don’t think people realize just how serious that bill is. And with how trump is probably buddy buddy with the NRA heads, guarantee he will sign it.
