The reason prohibition failed was because they made something that was already legal, illegal and that God Himself doesn’t even prohibit alcohol consumption (for anyone other than pastors). Just the abuse of it.

Does God prohibit smoking weed?

How's the Bible deal with incest and alcohol? Handing over one's daughters to be violated by strangers?

I can see how I can be misunderstood on that. Poor choice of words.

What I’ve been saying from the beginning is to keep what is illegal, illegal. If everyone wanted to legalize drunk driving would you support it?
Drunk driving affects other people. Stoned driving affects other people.

That's an entirely different principle that "drinking or smoking".

Just like shooting does not cause harm, yet shooting at people does.

It's really pretty simple once you break it down to how my actions affect someone else - or not.

That isn't relevant and isn't a good argument. Legalize weed and same rules apply for driving while high as driving while drunk. Same penalties. It's actually worse for weedsmoker though because there isn't a test that can measure the amount of THC to impair an individual...so it would be real subjective. To the point where even smelling like weed could get you a DUI. It's win win.

I don't know how else that could be interpreted? Might have exposed yourself a bit there.....

Good on Stitt for going over the inane bureaucracy slow-walking what the voters want. A skeptic would say state officials just don't want the measure to pass and are doing whatever they can to trip it up.......

I've never tried the stuff and don't intend to. Seems harmful. But it's also....a plant. Government has no business locking people up for growing/possessing/selling/buying a plant.

Yes, that's a good idea. I think we should tax the hell out of insulin, too.

The level of naïve, foolish ignorance on the part of the people that are in favor of this but don’t partake themselves is dumbfounding.

I was wrong earlier when I said the end goal of these people is recreational pot. Ultimately the goal is decriminalizing ALL drugs. If anyone can’t see that they’re a fool.

The gay deal was the same way. First they wanted their civil unions. Then it was marriage. Then adoption rights. Fast forward to today and a man can be a woman and vice versa, they are transing, grooming, sexualizing kids. Before long they will be attempting in earnest full on **********.

All of this came from ignorant, short-sighted, well meaning people. I just hope no one’s kid dies in an alley one day as a direct result of decisions made today. But I know that’s a fool’s hope.
Well Said. Now we have a pot smoking governor id bet
