Is the $1000 budget for the whole shebang, or just for the gun and additional funds for optics? If just the gun, the link dustingaunder posted is a great deal. If thats the whole budget, then you probably need to look into a frankengun, ie heinz57, or in other words, a build it yourself gun. With the ar that's not hard to do.

Wow! That's a great deal on an awesome setup! I spec'd one out with everything I'd want for a top shelf AR except a Geissele trigger and it was only $1,281!
