just do sleep dentistry. youll be knocked out. i think my dentist charges $60 if your insurance doesnt cover it.
A month ago I dropped 2295 for two crowns and an extraction.!thank goodness insurance got a 1000 of it.
What was the visit for? If it’s just a general checkup and cleaning, I find myself struggling not to fall asleep in the chair. Once the hygienist had to nudge me because my lips had closed around the dental pick as I nodded off…
Same, less the extraction. My part was $1385.

When I retired, I got on Medicare with NO ADVANTAGE plan! I enrolled in the Physician's Mutual Dental insurance because they say you can choose any dentist and they pay for a lot of stuff. I also had to pay in for a year to get the crowns and stuff paid for. I went two years before having to use it.
The only problem I have found is the dentists didn't choose Physician's Mutual. Most of them will not take it. Especially, the oral surgeons.
I paid $35 a month for over 2 years for dental insurance I could not use.
I hate dentists. Almost as bad as used car salesmen and lawyers.
Didja hear the one about the woman patient at the dentist? The dentist says, "That tooth is going to have to come out." The woman says, "OOOO, I'd rather have a baby!" The dentist replied, "Well, make up your mind because I gotta adjust the chair."

I walked up behind my hygienist while she was working on another patient and said, "Oh, that looks bad, we'll have to extract that, I'll take over from here." It didn't go over too well. I thought it was funny.
Who would you recommend? I am approaching that day and dread it. I'd pay a lot more than $60.
I go to the OU dental college in OKC, they do very good work. Bunch cheaper than regular dental offices.
