That's why I said "relatively" lower miles... As in 100k miles as opposed to 200k miles. There are tons of trucks like that out there from the mid-teens in the $25K-ish range. Finding one that's been well cared for is the challenge.

Oh I understand now. My relatively low miles and yours is a bit different lol.

Perfect! Because what you want is a 4th Gen RAM 1500!

The search hasn't become that desperate yet...

Right before prices on stuff went crazy, I almost bought a new (‘20) ram classic 1500 4x4 crew cab hemi. OTD cash price was $27k over email, hadn’t even gone into see how much lower I could push them.

I ended up not doing it because a half ton doesn’t serve a purpose for me as well as I’d like, but I regret not buying that now.

I also sold my ‘15 ram 2500 Cummins 4x4 tradesman with 85k miles for the same money at the same time, 27k. I could have gotten the 42 I paid for it with more miles if I’d have driven it one more year. That still stings.

Prices don't seem too outrageous on a lot of the used stuff that's 5 or more years old right now. I was really surprised. That's why I didn't sell my F250 sooner...I was afraid I wouldn't be able to replace it with anything decent at a decent price. I'm still kinda shocked they gave me almost $52k for my truck. Because I'm seeing similar F250s selling for WAY less than that.

I am very curious as I do not do new expensive stuff.
That F250 6.7 L you mentioned too much to fuel it and tires etc were costly.

Can you fill me in on what MPG it got?
And elaborate on this.
too expensive to drive, buy tires for it, maintain it, etc..

Was it an older truck falling apart or something?

I assume you live on a muddy road somewhere and that is why you need 4X4?

To me a diesel is no more costly than a gasser to drive if you do the maintenance yourself. I've been driving diesel's for the last 25 years. Diesel fuel is higher but you also get about twice the mileage vs. a gasser when your pulling.
