Looking for a book.

My teacher read a book to our class when I was in 4th grade. "Yes. A long time ago." The book was about the communist slowly taking over America. They put new teachers in the schools. The teacher told the kids how it was not fair that everyone did not have a flag. She cut up the American flag and gave each kid a piece. She said that they would all have a part of the flag and that would be fair. I only remember parts of the book. I would like to read it again and I want my kids to read it. I thought that maybe one of you about my age may have been read the same book.
Does anyone remember this book and the name of it? Thanks.

Thank you very much. I have been looking for several years. I have found people who remember the story, but could not remember the name.

I am about to order it. I wish they still read this in school to the kids. Now the unions are pushing for books from Saul Alinsky. Go figure.

Just let your kids read the REAL story of the pilgrams that come to this country.
A huge exercise in socialism that failed.

The Original govenor of the pilgrams stated that all citizens would work the fields and the harvest would be divided equally.
It didn't take long for some to lay in bed while the others worked.
Eventually the Govenor, saw this and divided the land among the pilgrims.
Those that worked, survived and the ones that didn't want to suffered.

This is not a fairy tail story. Its historical truth.
