Molcajete refers to the mortar and pestle not the dish. There is sausage Molcajete, chicken Molcajete, salsa Molcajete, cheese Molcajete. Which are you referring?

Molcajete is the stone bowl used to grind stuff up. Tejolote is the stone club...it's a Mexican Mortar and Pestle. You're lookin for the something they cook in it. That could be anything from soups, to a stir fry, to a bread.

I knew the stone was called a Molcajete but the dish/food is described first with the word Molcajete.. hence the reason I was asking what restaurant has Molcajete…

If I wanted to just buy the rock I’d find one online and would have never made a thread. Lol

Go to Los Arcos in Bristow, OK. I never order anything else when I eat there and most everyone I take there agrees it’s the best they have had.

Pretty sure the Los Arcos in edmond has it. I haven’t eaten there in a while but I’ve seen it on peoples table

I've never had it and didn't even know what it was. We very seldom eat at Playa Azul, but I might have to give that a try.
