I have a Remington 788 chambered for .22-250 that shoots as well as any rifle I've ever seen in that chambering, and better than most of them.

Quite a few years ago there was a 788 in .222 Remington in the classifieds here for a great price. But at the time I was a little poor and couldn't hop on it. If there is a gun out there I regretted missing out on more than any other it's that one.

. 22-250 is an uncommon chamber chambering now too.
