I break down and cry everytime I'm stopped. Helps me get out of tickets all the time.

My wife uses being blonde and having big boobs to get out of tickets. That boob job I paid for will pay for itself in a few years.

To be fair to the OP, I didn't think he was really complaining about getting the expired tag ticket as much as he was about getting a second ticket for pretty much the same offense. I can honestly say, before this thread started, I never knew they were two separate offenses. Kinda like not paying your taxes by April 15th and getting one penalty for not paying your taxes and another for not paying them by the 15th.

To be fair he asked for it, blatantly by not paying the registration when it was due and then driving it on the road, he could have insisted that it be up to date as a condition of the sale, and then admitting he intended to screw the state out further funds by tagging it as an indian vehicle.

I have no sympathy for either him or old phart.

True story...Wife and I were in Joplin, MO several months ago. Wife is driving because I refuse to drive her car that has a cracked windshield. The crack is right at eye level for me, but since she has to look through the steering wheel to see, it's no problem for her.

Anyway, she is making a right turn from main onto 7th street. She turns wide and ends up in the inside lane. We go through two sets of lights and she she's the lightbar going crazy behind her. She pulls across the traffic onto a side street. I'm scratching my on that move, but it gets better. The city cop comes up and asks her if she knew why she was stopped. Being the ever so loving husband, I din't mention the lane turn because she thinks I pick on her driving skills too much. I knew why, but I was waiting to hear her ask what she did wrong. Just as she is handing him the DL and insurance she starts screaming and looks like she about to crawl out the window.

Now, if you knew my wife and the size of the window she was trying to crawl through, you can imagine my expression as what I was witnessing. After the initial shock of the screaming and trying to crawl out the window my next thought was she got tased. But for what, I thought everything was ok?

My excellent observation, I had missed the spider that had fallen from the sun visor onto her hand that was on the steering wheel. Luckily for her, the officer had seen the whole thing, started laughing. Handed her her DL and insurance card and said to have a great day. The guy was still laughing as she pulled away.

Moral to the story, there are more ways to skin a cat.

And for me, I still critique her driving. :rotflmao:

Screw the state? Sure, that's what it was. I left my house that day thinking I'd just do anything to screw the state. Please, that's just ludicrous.

When you have a tribal membership and go to register a vehicle, you have to make a choice. Who do you want to give the money to? Oklahoma wanted to extort nearly $500 for it. The tribe wanted $59. You really think that's me trying to "screw that state"? Do you suppose the state forcing you to get permission to own and operate your own private anything (and charge a fee on top of that) is the state trying to screw you? You betcha.

Will you be in favor of a GPS tax? The government has a right to know if you have a GPS, what kind of GPS, what age of GPS and to tax you as it sees fit based on those items.

Took the ticket to court last week, both charges dismissed.
